A chamber film where there are only two actors in the frame, two characters – he and she, as well as their dialogues – and their love. The picture was shot in muted tones-for the sake of the bright palette of feelings of the characters shown on the screen.

They are returning home after the premiere of Malcolm’s debut movie: he is blinded by success and is waiting for reviews from critics. Balram, who comes from a poor Indian family, knew from childhood that his destiny was to serve the rich, and did not think about another fate. When the son of a local rich man, Ashok, returned to India from America with his wife Pinky, he began working as his driver.
But the longer Balram worked for a wealthy family, the more clearly he realized that people like him, representatives of the lower caste, were not respected. His eyes were opened when he realized that he was like a white tiger born once in a generation: as long as others are humble, he can challenge the oppressors and change everything.
Director Amy Poehler
A high school student from a small town, Emma was an ordinary teenager, until one day she learned that her mother was still a rebel and an activist fighting for women’s rights in her school years.
This inspired Emma to also organize a new wave feminist club at her school, taking an example from the representatives of the old wave. The girl had colleagues and associates who were ready to fight against the patriarchy, conservative teachers and old rules. But, of course, Emma and her friends remained just teenagers, not immune from mistakes.
Director Kitao Sakurai
Friends Chris and Bud, whose roles are played by two famous stand-up artists, are going to go on a crazy journey. To do this, they appropriate a bright pink car belonging to Bud’s sister while she is in prison. But here’s the bad luck-soon she escapes to freedom and wants to return her car, no matter what it costs her.
It is interesting that the comedy was filmed with a “hidden camera”, and all the personalities with whom the main characters interact during their crazy road adventures are not actors, but ordinary people who do not realize that they are being filmed.
Director Alexandre Aja
A young woman wakes up in a cryocapsule, not remembering anything at all – neither who she is, nor who imprisoned her. Later it turns out that her name is Elizabeth Hansen. But there are still too many mysteries, while the oxygen in the capsule is inexorably becoming less and less.
Now, in order to get out, Elizabeth will have to restore her memory piece by piece and immerse herself in a series of flashbacks. In this she will be assisted by a virtual assistant-artificial intelligence M. I. L. O. Despite the fact that throughout almost the entire film we will see only one actress on the screen, the viewer will surely take his breath away from the tension.
The Mitchells vs. the Machines
Directors Michael Rianda · Jeff Rowe
At the center of the events of this bright and colorful cartoon is a teenage girl Katie Mitchell, who has been dreaming of becoming a director since childhood. When she was enrolled in a prestigious film school on the other side of the country, her joy knew no bounds. She wanted to leave, among other things, from relatives who did not understand her – father, who did not recognize gadgets, mother and her younger brother.
But her father suddenly wanted to establish relations with his daughter through a family trip, so he wanted to take his daughter across the country in his own car with his mother, younger brother and the family’s dog, the funny pug Monchi. Who knew that this trip would be interrupted by a sudden uprising of the Machines – thanks to which the Mitchells would understand that they are a strong and friendly family.
